Water is Love: Healing inner and outer Landscapes
Join us for this seminar based on the documentary “Water is Love: Ripples of Regeneration” which explores the transformative power of water—both ecologically and spiritually.
Overview
Water is the essence of life and, at the same time, one of the most threatened elements on our planet. How we interact with water reflects our relationship with nature, ourselves, and our communities. Water can heal landscapes—and our hearts.
This course is inspired by the stories and solutions presented in the film about water cycles and climate regeneration. From the water retention landscapes in Tamera to Rajendra Singh’s remarkable work in India and regenerative practices in Kenya—people around the world are restoring nature’s balance.
In this seminar, we combine practical landscape restoration with inner transformation to experience water as a life-giving force in its depth. We integrate this knowledge with the group work of Joanna Macy’s The Work That Reconnects to foster practical and emotional connections with each other, the Earth and its water cycles. This course is a call to action: How can we restore our landscapes and create a future worth living?
“Action on behalf of life transforms. Because the relationship between self and the world is reciprocal, it is not a question of first getting enlightened or saved and then acting. As we work to heal the earth, the earth heals us.”
ROBIN WALL KIMMERER, author of “Braiding Sweetgrass”.
Practical Landscape Restoration & Water Retention:
Water is the key to heal degraded ecosystems. Decades of research in Tamera have shown that water-retention landscapes can help recover natural cycles. By carefully holding and directing rainwater, resilient landscapes emerge that balance droughts and floods while creating fertile habitats. We will explore the principles of practical landscape restoration, see concrete examples in Tamera, and learn how to apply this knowledge in our own regions.
Spiritual Reconnection & The Work That Reconnects:
Water is not just a physical element—it carries memory, movement, and consciousness. How do we feel connected to water? What stories and emotions do we hold about it? Using methods from The Work That Reconnects, we will deepen our connection with the Earth and water. Through reflection, rituals, and shared experiences, we will explore our personal & collective relationship with water, learn to navigate grief and hope, and gain new strength for our engagement in the world.

Reciprocity Experiment
This seminar breaks away from traditional pricing models. Instead of a fixed price or sliding scale, it is part of our ongoing economic experiments based on gift or reciprocity during the 2025 guest season. Rather than setting a price, we invite you to offer a genuine contribution based on your experience in Tamera, while we share our efforts and needs.
All we ask is that you cover your room and board upfront to ensure our essential expenses are met. Toward the end of the seminar, you’ll be invited to reflect on your experience and determine a financial contribution that aligns with both your financial capacity and the value you’ve received. At the same time, we will share our needs as a facilitation team and community. Depending on the number of participants (maximum 35), we aim to raise between 5,000 and 17,000 euros.
This experiment is our next step toward a more relational, trust-based economic paradigm, and we look forward to having you join us!
