Open Afternoon

Take part in a guided tour of Tamera and gain a first insight into different areas of our work and the vision of the Healing Biotopes Plan.

Overview

Get a first glimpse into the Peace Research & Education Center Tamera, an emerging model for the future.

On one Saturday afternoon each month, between April and November, we invite you to gain an insight into our land and our project. These events are offered on a donation basis.

Who is this event for?

  • People who want to get to know Tamera
  • Community curious people

What you will do

The guided tour starts from Tamera’s Cultural Center at 2.30pm. After an introduction to some of our foundational ideas from one of Tamera’s co-workers you will be guided through some of the different projects on our land. You’ll discover the Water Retention Landscape and gardens, the Solar Test Field, Aldeia da Luz and central auditorium as well as several other key places. We’ll end with a Question and Answer session back at the Cultural Center, where you’ll also have a chance to visit our bookshop.

Event content

We’ll explore questions such as:

  • What does peace research mean to us?
  • How are we working to create a model for the future?
  • Why do we live in community?
  • How do we relate with water?
  • How do we produce decentralized regenerative energy?
  • How can you support Tamera’s purpose?

Each tour will be held by one or two co-workers of Tamera.
