LGBTQ+ Love School
Tamera is offering its first LGBTQ+ Love School, June 14 – 20
Overview
It will be a unique, transformative experience designed for people who wish to explore new, liberating models of love, exploring Eros and community. Tamera’s work with love and Eros is part of our broader vision of working toward a world based on cooperation, transparency and non-violence. We invite the LGBTQ+ community and allies to build a safe communitarian container, study the political and systemic dimensions of doing healing work in love and sexuality, and enter into experiential and ceremonial space together.
Our work around love and sexuality is based on building a sustainable community that can co-hold the beauty and the pain that is there when we dare to open our hearts to love. Our work in love is elevated from an individual pursuit to a force for collective healing and transformation.
Historically Tamera has focused on healing our relationships through a cis-gender, heteronormative frame. Over the past decade, LGBTQ+ members of Tamera’s community have worked to create inclusive space and widen this framework to include queerness as a necessity to working for a world where love and its expressions can be truly free of fear.
Who is the course for?
This course is specifically designed for people identifying as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and nonbinary, acknowledging the unique challenges and precious gifts when queer people come together to navigate love, sexuality and community. We also welcome cisgender and heterosexual allies who are ready to dive into this intimate revolutionary experience.
What you’ll learn
- A systemic understanding and contextualization of healing in love and sexuality
- The healing power of transparency and public intimacy: a visceral experience of the liberatory effect of self-revelation in front of a group
- Anchoring in your own capacity to love, independently of your relationship and tapping into the transpersonal dimension of Eros
- Integration of Ecological and Social Transformation: Learn how nature can support and deepen social transformation.
- This seminar offers a gate into a social model that values transparency, emotional authenticity and love. Participants will leave with a deeper understanding of themselves through the complex systems that form and steer us, community-building practices and practical skills to bring these insights into their daily lives.
This is an emerging Healing Biotope where we work to reconnect and restore the wholeness of life. Courses are focused on topics, but all of our research exists in an interconnected web, so your learning will likely expand on other areas.
As a learner, you can join our morning offers, which can include things like Yoga and Qi Gong. You’ll also be able to join in whole community events, like our Sunday matinee, the Ring of Power and Political Cafes.
