Art Course Tamera – Landscape Painting

Tamera is once again offering an art course – this time in a new format:
seven days of landscape painting in Tamera and along the Costa Vicentina (Atlantic Coast), June 26 – July 02.

Overview

Through observation and artistic engagement with landscapes, we open ourselves to the voice of these places, to their beings and their powers. Through the medium of painting we are learning a language of nature and practicing responding to creation as human beings – enriching it with our own creative expression.

Who is the course for?

If you love to paint, this course is for you!

What you can expect

Each morning we will make an excursion from Tamera’s Guest Center to a new landscape. The focus is on art. We will create a new piece every day – landscape painting from morning until evening.

The team will offer input on topics such as art, community, the Healing Biotopes Plan, and provide introductions to materials and painting approaches.

Madjana and Lukas will occasionally support participants in their artistic processes. Lukas will also hold painting demonstration sessions in which he explains the decisions he makes.

We aim to create a relaxed, joyful, atmosphere where each participant can follow their inner journey while a warm stream of communication emerges in which we can truly see the human essence of each other.

Testimonial

This kind of art has nothing to do with commerce, consumption or concepts. It develops from where we are sensitive, insecure, doubtful, vulnerable. It sensitises us to the fact that, as creative beings, we are not only creative at certain points, but in every moment of our lives. The permanent creativity that arises in this way is without a goal, a pure expression of the joy of creation and life.
– Kerstin Chavent

The Team

Madjana Geusen is, in many ways, a courageous artist. She has lived and worked in the Tamera project for 40 years. Her favorite topics are community building, “painting with light” and the “other reality” – the holistic dimension of our existence that, alongside the predominant normality, awaits the full realization of its information of love, strength, and healing.

Lukas Mauermann (http://lukasmauermann.com/) is a sculptor, painter, father of two, and has lived in Tamera for 15 years. Alongside his artistic work, he teaches in Tamera’s internal school and offers courses for guests.

Guest Facilitator

We are delighted to welcome Sabine Lichtenfels as a guest teacher during the course. She will host an experiential session in Tamera’s Stone Circle and speak about stone circles as power places for connecting with the voice of the Earth and the wisdom of the ancestors, “MarIsis” – the landscape temple of Tamera and why a spiritual path needs art”
